About Us Barry Cargill is a former Local 21 Union Bricklayer and Stone Mason with 25 years experience. Barry Cargill Masonry brings perfection and passion to the masonry trade. Our experience and expertise are reflected in the quality of Our workmanship. A Bricklayer/Stonemason since 1988, Barry has developed Intensive skill and knowledge that only comes through years and years experience. I started out working on new homes when the housing market took off in the 1980s. laying brick mostly, and learning how to build solid masonry fireplaces, a sort of lost art. As time has evolved of course the housing market changed and stone has become more popular than brick! So I now find myself a representative of Angie's list and rewriting my career. I have been involved in the masonry trade long enough to have worked on nearly every type of masonry job, including residential construction, and numerous commercial projects as well. As a union bricklayer for Local 21 out of Chicago in the 1990s I worked on buildings including Schools, Churches, New Walmart Stores, Menards, Walgreens, and High Rise Buildings in the city.
